I have no doubt Apple will have a similar "free" baseline that might wet your palette. Actually that would mean competition/capitalism was involved, which also means you're still not going to be happy.

How long after you make a purchase does the App Store remember your password so you don't have to enter it again? I presume that's what happened in this case.
It depends on your setting. Even logged in, it typically confirms once by asking if you want to purchase that app.
It was cool of Apple to arrange a refund. That should be standard policy, especially if an app isn't even completely downloaded.
For 99-cent apps, I'm less concerned about "try before buying"... when they start costing $10 and up, I think there has to be a way to 'preview' them...

No doubt, I like nice things too and have my selection of vainness in my closet (diamond Gucci watch, LV messenger bag/wallets/etc) but when it comes to clothes, sure I'll spend $100 on a nice collared shirt or nice jeans or something, but $250 is just too far for me personally--shirts DO wear out for me after only a year or two. Sure they look good and still feel fine--until you buy a new one and have a fresh snug one to compare it to--then the old one just feels like junky crap that has lost its form over the last year or two, at least for me. Don't get me wrong, I don't buy/can't stand crappy cheap clothes, all my stuff is upper-end, but there's a personal limit where the value just isn't there for the money on short term clothes--I switch stuff out every couple years as styles/tastes change anyway.

Hey bruv, I completely get what you're saying and I no way doubt your usage/taste; its just what works for me- as you say, you may switch looks while I've looked the same for years so yeah cost/value will be as different as taste. No thanks I allready built myself a HTPC which will be better than anything Apple do unless they add OS X into a tv. Even then Id still prefer my HTPC because it runs Windows 7.

well per song not much but it adds up fast. Even if Amazon and Apple only bring in 10-15 cents per song at .99 cents per song. That adds up fast.
Between Amazon and Apple I like Amazon better. Plus I get like 10 bucks a year in free song from Amazon for text books I buy threw them. It is a nice bonus and I can promise you doing that little give away has pushed me to buy more text books from Amazon proving they are the same price as lets say B&N or the campus book store but often times Amazon is the cheapest and I am running on my free Amazon Prime for student member ship 2 day shipping to boot.
Apple pays 70% straight to the record companies, which would be $0.90. If Amazon pays the same, then they have $0.21 loss before they even start. Or Amazon gets different prices than Apple, which would need some explaining.

He said basically that Apple will not sell or support Windows but that they will not prevent users from installing and running Windows on MacIntels. Nothing in what Schiller stated had anything to do with Apple facilitating (or not) the use of Windows.

I love my AT&T iPhone 4 and 3GS. On the iPhone 4, upgrading to 4.3.1 was flawless with no problems. The 3GS started having battery drain. Within 6 hours, it would be at 60% with just a bit of usage. I would usually be at 60% after 24 hours. I downgraded to 4.1 where I was before. Nothing on 4.3.1 was worth upgrading to. I don't have a supported printer for air printing and for airshare, the only thing I can share back and forth to is my MBP.
Any battery problems on this latest update?
I have had a flawless experience with AT&T over the past few years and will remain with the next iPhone.

9 To 5 Mac's discovery is quite interesting as it shows that this is a recent and updated iPhone with an A5, rather then an old iPhone 4. Maybe the new iPhone 5 will bring some more carriers for the Americans, help slow the loss to Android?
That is my thinking as well. There has to be increasing pressure on Apple from Android, the stats show it.

They probably have algorithm's for getting the most possible money out of you.....if you don't see this your blind...Wait for something that actually makes a difference...not just a different color. It would seem unusual to give a company with 10% of the revenue at least 35% rebate over a company with 90% of the revenue. This looks very much anti-competitive to me.
So are you saying that it would *not* look anti-competitive to you if the company already holding the lion's share of the market was on the receiving end of a generous price cut?
Who says Amazon is getting a better deal from the labels anyway? They could just be selling the tracks as loss leaders to drive more people to Amazon. The same basic approach helped turn Walmart into the biggest brick and mortar store in the world. Like I said before, loss leading is a common and legal retail tactic.

50%? Did you forget how much Macs cost? One of the main reasons Dell has such a huge market share is because they are so cost effective and come with great bundles aimed at the average person. 50% of computer users could never afford a Mac.

Congress controls spending, not the President.
More to do with paranoid, small-time, inexperienced investors, than anything else.
Now here's some interesting theories. The dollar started its decline long before the Fed began lowering interest rates. In fact it has stabilized and gained back some since. Actually, the president submits budgets to Congress. Finally, when the market swings wildly as it has recently, look to the behavior of large institutional investors. They are the controllers of large blocks of shares. What they decide moves markets, not small-time investors. They're just along for the ride, for the most part.
