One word. Macworld.
I sold half of my shares in the company the day before Macworld at an astounding price. I personally feel for whoever the buyer was, as they paid well over what my shares were worth that day (wrongly anticipating a spike after Macworld). I, however, have had a close eye on the rumors and Apple's business model as of late. I anticipated several elements that came to frutition, and now still having half of my Apple stock, I about broke even. Until Apple soars high again :). First really insightful stock market decision I've ever made.
Buy now :-) Thats my $0.02

it will most likely be tomorrow if as has been pointed out tonight is visual night, the online store will update sometime around 1pm UK time I imagine but the store should be down before then.
Of course if tonight is really visual night and u live close enough to an apple store make sure pop in at 9:30am your time and tell us all if anything has changed :)

I really hope that this mouse can better distinguish between a right and left click than the wired MM.
Agreed... the corded MM needs improvements. Hopefully they address this at the same time as adding BT.

How did they find out that she's a transgender? It's not like women's restrooms have urinals...
They said "Why are you talking to my man?" to a transgendered woman in a women's "restroom"?
Does not compute.
Why not?

This is news????
I thought based on all the other reports it was a fore gone conclusion that there will not be any IP5 this summer.
as always, spot on.
it has all but been confirmed for a while now.

They should really keep the teardrop design to the Air.. it wouldn't really fit the iPhone, which is a phone after all. If that were a true design to come, I wonder just how awkward holding it could be.
Bigger displays are always welcome. I was already going to get an iP5 (got a BB Bold) anyway. Awesome for screen size, not so much for the design.. which seems suspiciously thin.

No one is pissing over google's work. It was a response to one of your s*****[censored] comments, here:
Don't remove the , it indicates the sarcasm in that comment. I was pointing out to the guy the fallacy of his argument in diminishing Google's work that he was also diminishing Apple's work on OS X.
I believe both companies have a lot of merit for what they did. I'm not pro-anything or anti-anything here. The point of my comment was to say that Apple and Google put in a lot of effort into making their OSes.
Now you're arguing what exactly aside from just wanting to insult me ?
You replied to a person who was talking about ChromeOS being just a giant browser which is absolutely true.
Absolutely true ? When did Web browsers start to do process scheduling, user input, graphical sub-systems, GUI frameworks, hardware interaction, etc.. etc..
Chrome OS is much more than a browser, it's very much a OS who's desktop environnement happens to be a Web browser, rather than a file explorer like Finder.
Again, let's drop the Google hate. It has no place in this thread. Why do you insist on beating on them ? Leave the corporate politic between Steve and Eric (now Larry) and let's discuss OS X some.

Meh. It's an Apple. Really getting bored of the Apple look and iOS. To me they just look really cheap now. Already made my decision to get the Galaxy S2. Sorry but if Apple sticks with the 3.7inch screen, they're only gonna fall further back. Let's be honest, the iPhone isn't that great as a phone. It never was. Transmission, reception, and voice quality are poor to average. There's a reason why the iPhone 5 is being delayed. Apple took one look at the current competition and went back to the drawing bored. And that's fine. Any good company should do just that. I've never been a full on blind fanboy, hence my move to the GS2. At the same time, I don't want Apple turning into the next RIM. :o
I love tech that's on the bleeding edge. Right now for me, that's hardware. The tangible undisputed specs. And Samsung's high end GS2 oozes bleeding edge tech. The camera and 1080P video is ridiculously amazing. I'm not the emotional type that gets all caught up with the brainless "it just works" crowd. You know what?, they all "just work." If you don't know how to adapt to any OS, then maybe you just shouldn't even use any device at all. Seriously, they're all easy to use and get used to. Don't get me wrong, Apple to me is still a great brand, but for me the honeymoon is over so to speak.
Meh. It's an Android. The hardware works. The software, on the other hand, doesn't really. (Yet? Keep on waiting.)
And just for the argument's sake, you said you're sick of Apple and iOS look: At the first glance, the SSGSII hardware design don't look that different from the iPhone...
If u fancy tech then fine, it's your choice. I'm just saying. Cuz as far as my personal experiences with the Android OS go, I'm not happy with it.

1. Today is yom hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)
2. Yesterday, April 30, 2011 is the anniversary of Hitler's death.
Just want to through those two items out there

And you guys accuse PC users of sticking to old stereotypes. If you want to see ugly, take a gaze at the army of external devices that my iMac is going to need. I prefer my cables be inside the case instead of covering my desk.
2+ full size optical drives opppsed to a single slow notebook drive
2+ hard drive bays
Card reader
Easy CPU upgrading
Easy RAM upgrading
Upgradable x16 PCI-Express slot compared to underclocked fixed notebook GPU
3+ PCI/ PCI-E x1 slots for upgrading to new devices
Choice of display
being able to choose what you want to do instead of having everything dictated to you by Steve Jobs.
An iMac is NOT suitable for the sort of computer use you are intending! As an experienced computer technician who works mostly on PCs, I can assure you that any new Dell, HP or Gateway tower is even less suited to handle the upgrades you are suggesting, with the exclusion of RAM upgrades.
New PCs are products of out-of-control cost cutting and nothing more. If you want upgradability, you must spend at least $2000 and get one from ABS or another semi-custom shop.
Finally, the Mac Pro tower is coming out soon. Then, many of your complaints about the Mac's faults will be dealt with. While I am a fan of the Mac platform, I run a custom dual-xeon PC that I built myself and I can say that, from my perspective, I would take any computer over a sub-$1500 PC.
I've got a fried Dell P4 Motherboard sitting at home b/c Dell decided to use proprietary pin configs with a standard ATX power connector (not my mistake :) ). Mass-manufactured PCs are made to be fortresses, preventing user upgrade. The Mac is a nice, good-looking alternative among only a few alternatives. Atleast you know the each of those external devices is going to work right as soon as you plug it in. With PCs today, esp. from dell, You have no such guarantee on any of the upgrades you suggested. People are making a mistake when they buy a cheap PC, whether you believe they ought to be buying a mac or not!

I hope the mission was to capture Bin Laden, not kill him. If he had to be shot because he was fighting back or something then fair enough, but I hope the plan was to capture if possible.
Ideally, I would have liked to have seen him in front of the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. That would have been a victory to be proud of.

The biggest question I have is whether the dual Thunderbolt will support 2 external monitors.
Imagine a triple 27 inch setup! (Brain explodes at thought)
Displayport is suppose to support daisy-chaining from one port so the external monitor support could actually be higher than just 2 if Apple supported it. I believe the HD6970M can support at least 4 total display outputs, possibly 6?

What a bunch on whining individuals you are.
"this belongs on page 2"
"enough of this, page 2"
Yeah, yeah, all we know now is that it's becoming increasingly clear that the next generation iPhone is scheduled for a September release, end of story
stop whining geez
Why? It's good feedback for the owner of this site.

I wasn't expecting the iMac refresh so quick. I thought it would be after the Mac OS X Lion refresh. i been saving for my first iMac but not there yet so I'll have to still wait. Perhaps I'll wait till Mac OS X Lion is pre installed in late summer. That is if I can wait that long lol

Bought the white iPhone for the missus because she couldnt wait for iphone 5 and I cant tell the difference side by side with my black one. Even bought a bumper that was available before the white one was released, and guess what? The white iPhone slips in perfectly.
Really is a none issue this one.

Maybe you misunderstood me... I don't care about market share... either hardware share or software share. I don't think it matters how much of one thing there are against another thing.
You're right... Apple cares about profit... mostly from selling hardware. Which they do... lots of hardware. I think that's more important for a company.
Apple is, and has always been, a hardware company.
Google went down the route of putting their software on any device that wanted it... which is why I hate when people compare Android vs the iPhone.
It's not about you, point is "market share is very important" to Apple. Saying market share is not a goal is just wrong.
