I think they will come either this last update or the next one. As if you look at the hourly graphs for any team a huge spike existed for the last hour. This is probably stanford processing log files. It may take time for them all to be processed.
well i still haven't gotten them. but hopefully i will eventually

So the figure head who has had little to nothing to do with Al-Queada (a leaderless brand name of extremists at this point) since 9/11 is dead. Woo hoo. Meanwhile, terrorism in the world has only increased since the "war on terror" (something that was predicted and well known by US planners when gearing up for it).
Time to start the USA chants.
I expected your post to be something along this view ... can you source the fact he has little or nothing to do with Al-Queda?
he was still the #1 leader of Al-Queda ... I predicted he was in Pakistan all along.
Killed by US forces ... Excellent news

Isn't there a pop up that asks you if you're sure you want to buy the app after you click buy? Maybe I'm thinking of iTunes... Either way, I blame the child.

I'm pretty sure that any time you use Personal file sharing, you are using AppleTalk.
EDIT: More info... Personal File Sharing is based off of Apple Filing Protocol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Filing_Protocol). From wikipedia:
I was about to correct your first post (politely) by saying that you can use AFP with AppleTalk disabled.

In the end, the reason why the iPhone 5 won't come out until this fall comes down to the this: the Great East Japan Earthquake that seriously affected the high-tech companies in the Sendai area.
Because so many high-precision computer parts are made in the Sendai region, this has interrupted production of the iPad 2 (despite Apple's claims, in my humble opinion!) and also has made it harder for Apple to obtain the components for the upcoming iPhone 5.
As such, Apple is using the delay to do two, possibly three things:
1. Give more time for the iOS programming team to polish and get ready iOS 5.0, which may have a major interface revamp. (likely already done)
2. Gives time for the iPhone hardware engineers to incorporate the near-field communications (NFC) functionality for phone-based payment systems, including full compatibility with the Sony FeliCa system that is widely used in eastern Asia. (now likely to be done with the extra time afforded by a fall release of the iPhone 5).
3. Gives time for the iPhone hardware engineers to full incorporate the latest Broadcom or Qualcomm cellphone chipset so a single-design phone is fully GSM and CDMA compatible now and be ready for LTE by an update downloaded through iTunes. (likely already done)
Probably a combination of all of this, plus maybe incorporating some newer technologies.
For example: LG just came out with a 3D phone that does a great job for 3D gaming, according to a review in a German newspaper.
I don't know enough about Android, but it's supposed to run with 2.3 Honeycomb or so.
The Japanese incident will afford Apple some time from the impatient "What have you done for me lately?" crowd.
Not that they care, but there are IMO some competitors out there with some good ideas.
Between ios 5 and whatever else is around, I am looking forward to the next iphone.
No issues here with waiting, as an older guy I have no problems waiting until
things are ready:-)
Even coincides with my ATT contract being up end of September.
As for ATT representatives: They'll say anything to make a sale and they usually don't know much, except that they have been told how to deal with unsatisfied customers.

You know, I'm with you. If we don't stop this bickering the thread is likely to get closed. I always find it irritating when that happens. So, I suggest we drop the "professional" vs. "consumer" argument. It's clear that we have different opinions, and neither of us seems to be being swayed by the other's arguments. So, perhaps we should just agree to disagree.
Now, just so I don't get accused of trying to get the last word in before saying that we should drop it, I'll invite those on the other side of the argument to have one last quip, which I won't respond to. Then we can drop it. Sound fair?
Fair enough, I hate arguing over such minute issues anyway. Besides anyone that has an opinion probably won't change it just because of a few forum flames.

Sounds like the controls used in the alien spaceship in the movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Klatu would just wave his hands at the controls and things would happen.

Gee, do you have any idea how easy it is to click the wrong thing on an iPhone or iPod touch?
They probably had one click enabled and the kid checked out the most expensive app and accidentally clicked buy.
Can happen.
In that case, why do the parents have one click enabled on a device that's used by an 11 year old... :p

15 minutes?
45 Seconds is all it took to get the facts...
Google search: "android market return policy"
First result: http://www.google.com/mobile/android/market-policies.html
For those too lazy to click...
"Returns: You have 24 hours from the time of purchase (not download) to return any applications purchased from Android Market for a full refund of any applicable fees."
Summary: 24 Hours, not 15 minutes.
Yep, I've bought a few apps that weren't worth the money and returned them for a refund. It's a nice system, because you can then see if the app is actually worth the purchase to you.

I just returned my black iPhone 4 32GB and exhanged it for a white 32GB. (thank god for the 30 day return policy). I also upgraded another 3GS to a 16GB iPhone 4.
Both the 16GB and 32GB are the same dimensions. But what I don't recall on the black iPhone 4 I had for 25 days that I immediately noticed on both of my white iPhone 4's is a small raised "lip" or ridge that goes completely around the front face of the iPhone. I don't have a black iPhone 4 anymore on hand to scrutinize this with, but I will comment on it tomorrow when I do.
But I think that this definitely accounts for this minimal difference. This ridge or lip raises the iPhone's glass off of a surface if it is placed face side down - presumably to prevent scratches. This lip is small enough to barely decipher any difference from a black iPhone 4, but enough that I noticed it within 5 minutes of using the phone.
Either way, my white iPhone 4 still fits in the credit card case I bought for my black iPhone 4, but it is a bit more "snug" and appears to not have as much protection or clearance as I had with the black iPhone 4... But the difference really is minimal, not something to make a big "stink" over.

This is a false rumor. Absolutely no way will this happen.
First of all Google failed with their TV.
Second of all, it is much better to have the components separate. You can more easily pass the audio to a home entertainment system for surround sound. With a component built into the TV, you have cables going back in the other direction to the receiver. If audio and video both take the same path there is less change of them getting out of sync.
I thought it was unlikely too,but after reading this thread, with multitudes of people flatly stating it will never happen,I'm leaning much more toward them actually making a television.
The amount of certainty with which you make a prediction is inversely proportional to it's likelihood of being accurate.

So far, Leopard is something I'm not willing to pay for.
I expected just a little bit of a UI change, it just looks like a little updated version of Tiger.
I really wonder what these top secret features are because the current features aren't impressing me enough to open my wallet.
Ergh, you do realise this is a Developer's Preview? A BETA version ie. not finished, not anywhere near finished, feature-incomplete, "for testing only" version of Leopard don't you?
Tiger (especially Dashboard) changed beyond recognition between it's sneak peek and release.

The "view" buttons in finder changed back to the old style.
I always found the 'slider' buttons really out of place and difficult to get my head around - they always seemed to be out of place when it came to how one navigated the UI. The kind of 'slider' approach seemed to be more appropriate for a touch screen approach than if you were using a mouse or touchpad considering that you'll need 'click and movement' occurring at the same time which is difficult using the existing hardware (holding down the pad button then moving ones finger at the same time).
OK, here is a historic example:
"Apple missed Leopard's release time frame as originally announced by Apples CEO Steve Jobs. When first discussed in June Jobs had stated that Apple intended to release Leopard at the end of 2006 or early 2007. A year later, this was amended to Spring 2007; however on 12 April Apple issued a statement that its release would be delayed until October 2007 because of the development of the iPhone."
(from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Leopard)
I do not believe that Adobe, Microsoft and other big companies need just a few months to make their apps Lion-compatible. Will Apple release Lion, if major companies do not support it? Unlikely. Q1 2012 is more likely.
I highly doubt it given that the changes made in Leopard were a lot more substantial when compared to Snow Leopard and Lion. If you look through the WWDC sessions for that year there were many lower level parts that were completely removed and replaced, file notification API's (of which there were many) being replaced with a ber one to rule them all, changes in the kernel for UNIX compatibility etc. Even if Apple didn't re-allocate some developers to iOS it is doubtful they could have pulled off an early Leopard release given what they had decided to change in the underlying operating system.
Regarding the re-allocation of resources to iOS, to be fair iOS needed a heck of a lot of TLC given how far behind other smart phone operating systems it was at the time. Fast forward to today and you'll see that there isn't the same level of urgency given that both iOS and Mac OS X are pretty mature. Where as 2-3 years ago there was a massive laundry list of features that were missing from iOS it has pretty much developed into a list of 'it would be nice to have' rather than 'really need this or the platform will fail'. For Mac OS X it is the final stretch of Cocoa-ilsation which is the completing of the last remaining frameworks developers have been waiting for (AV Foundation pretty much replaces QuickTime Framework) with Apple upgrading their own applications so their middleware is end to end Cocoa based.

I guess the reason why iphone 5 is being delayed is something got to do with cloud + Lion + iphone + ipod touch + Celluler data.
iPhone 4 had been a good selling phone just like the previous ones but if you look into it you realize that making iphone4 is a bit costlier than the previous iphone which will be even tough for them to bring down the cost to $100 when iphone 5 comes out. So they may want to delay it abit more. (Very less likely though).
As you can see the ipad3G version have celluler data access as well psp NGP, and lots of tablet that are coming out are all having cellular access including psp phone & del streak. That leaves out ipod touch, that has only WIFI. As we know ipod touch is iphone, without a phone and even if they pack in the 3G chip to access data, then why not allow it make calls, but that would make another iphone. So i guess instead of releasing an ipod touch they might be planning to release a cheeper iphone which will be better choice than "Wifi only iphone". Which also help them sell more iphone and compete better with Android (i hope they dont do that)
Whatever the cloud thing is, needs to be demonstrated, for that, they need the cloud itself, iphone & mac, with lion, all of which is needs to be there on the table right in one place. cloud is just about to be ready, atleast thats what everyone is saying.
so when you combine everything and try to guess the release date, it comes clean, that the release will not happen in june-july frame,.. later. but not sure how late.
or just crap everything.....I guess they haven't done selling iPhone4!
