hey guys
need a suggestion
my h1 stamping expires on 30th sept
extension has been applied 2 months back.
should parents go for stamping or should i postpone it till i get extension approved.9date is 2nd week of august).

Yesterday my lawyer received receipts for my spouse and kids (485/EAD/AP) but not for myself. Now my lawyer is insisting upon sending me the copies of the receipts and do not want to send me the originals. With respect to that I have following questions:
1) Is that o.k having copies only or we should have originals? If we do not
have originals what bad may happen?
2) Either my lawyer or I have not received any of my receipts but we
received all receipts of my family. Is this normal? How long should we wait
for my receipts before contacting USCIS? By the way USCIS already gave
me my all numbers for teh receipts and according to USCIS my receipts
already mailed on Sept 14th. What would be advisable action for me in
this case?
3) None of the receipts of my family contain Priority Date. PD field is blank on all receipts. Is this O.K.?

Hmm...so the Name Check hell is back.
Good news for EB2 I/C and all EB3 old filers ! These will save huge number of visas for them. Not many People who have filed in July 07 Visa bulletin fiasco would have FBI name check pending.

To everyone who reads my post. I apologize for not being clear. The article says that they are talking about eliminating the per country caps and giving green cards to STEM graduates. In my haste and excitement I should have spelled this out. Now with that said I do not appreciate the snide remark from the previous poster. My friend has a GC since Sep 2004. He recently went to India and married a person who has a stamped F-1 Visa though she has not entered the USA yet. They are planning to enter US this month. Is this legal? What should they be worried about and what are my friend's options if he wants to settle down with his wife in the USA. Will there be an complications if he applies for her GC or should he rather wait till he gets his Citizenship. Any comments would be appreciated

I am working for a company (A) and I have visa stamp for company A until Dec 2010. I am planning to switch to company B soon. I was wondering if I need another visa stamp with company B or the same stamp will do. I am planning to visit India in February.

As for as my memory goes, you dont need to get a visa stamp till Dec 2010. However, when you reenter USA, you need to show the current company's I797 at the port of entry.
