Hello,
My company is planning to do an EB2 GC for me. My H1B was done with this law firm called Chugh Law Firm which my company hires.
I had no problem in my H1B.
Here in these discussions I see many people asking to go to the best lawyers for greencards etc.
Does anybody know about this law firm, and your experiences please. Do you recommend I can be safe with them.

You do NOT need a mexican visa for Indian citizens if you satisfy the below
1) Stay less than 72 hrs
2) stay with in 40 km from the US border
Get a Mexican Permit (alternate to a visa)... Permit is just a piece of paper, the Mexican immigration officer do not even stamp your passport with an entry stamp. I had been to Mexico to get my US visa stamped and I never got a mexican visa.

Hello members,
I had a non-traffic citation few years ago, which got dismissed and expunged. I do not have any documents relating to that incidence. I don't even recall the charges. I did background check with Sheriff's office which showed no records.
How should I present this on form I-485 (question about citation/arrest)?

1. Yes. Most countries need 6 months validity on passport from the date of entry. Some countries are exempt from this rule.
2. Usually you keep the same I94.
3. Not necessarily. But be prepared to answer questions. If you are unable to prove your intention to be permanently residing in US, upon US GC, that can be an issue.
Basically you have to claim that you have proper intentions now, and at the time of applications of canadian PR and US GC. Also you have to claim that you plan to reside in US permanently if you receive US GC.

I am pretty sure $10,000 is limit while coming into USA. While going to India, the limit is much less, about Rs.12,000 or so (check with some Indian websites). I know, you need declare (for Tax purposes) if you carry more than this amount. I don’t know tax liability of this declarion. Also, the amount varies on the purpose and duration of abroad trip.

I discussed this to a lawyer. He said that even if I file in August, it will still be accepted since I am qualified to apply in July. This is a bit confusing.

Nor can the workers take the initiative to start their own companies - while a small company may be able to sponsor one of its owners as an H-1B, a green card is much less likely in that situation. Wadhwa points out that eliminating the green card backlog (a major part of which consists of cases trapped by bureaucratic delays that should have been approved in past years� quotas, which do not carry over from year to year) would free an enormous amount of human capital to innovate and create the next generation of companies that will drive economic growth in the US.

While opponents of high-tech immigration love to argue that H-1B visas allow tech workers to come to the US and learn skills that they can use back home, the fact is that most tech workers would prefer to use those skills in the US - and that immigrants are a key part of the Silicon Valley start-up community (given how many start-ups have at least one immigrant founder).
The most troubling trend, however, will not be immediate in its impact. For the first time in five years, US graduate programs reported a drop (http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/content/aug2009/bs20090820_960342.htm) in the number of international applications to their programs and the number of accepted applicants who chose to come to their programs.
